Cream Cheese Squares

Cream Cheese Squares are a delightful mix of flaky pastry and creamy, sweet filling. This simple yet elegant dessert is perfect for those who love the rich taste of cream cheese paired with the comforting warmth of cinnamon and sugar.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar (3 tablespoons sugar + 1 tablespoon cinnamon)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and fit it into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll layer in the pan.
  5. Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and lay it over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
