Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • ¼ cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

For the Swirl:

  • 2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Unsalted Butter, Melted

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer for 3 minutes.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with an offset spatula.
  4. For the swirl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the batter.
  5. Swirl the mixture with a knife for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing.
